City Of Fort Dodge Foster Grandparents

Mission: To enrich the lives of both seniors and children by providing intergenerational volunteer opportunities that foster supportive relationships, enhance educational outcomes, and build a stronger, more connected community.

The City of Fort Dodge Foster Grandparents program provides an enriching experience for both seniors and young students in the Fort Dodge community. This intergenerational initiative connects older adults with children who need extra guidance and support in local schools, daycare centers, and other educational settings. Foster Grandparents volunteer their time to mentor and tutor children, offering encouragement, emotional support, and a stable presence in their lives.
