Who We Are
Mission: To help each student strive towards reaching success.
STARS, a mentoring organization, was founded in 2016 in Storm Lake, Iowa as part of the Storm Lake Community School District (SLCSD).We are a school-based, one to one mentoring program for students in grades 6-12.
What We Do
Services provided by STARS Mentoring:
- One-on-one mentoring for children and teens in need of guidance and support
- Emotional support and encouragement to help youth build self-esteem and resilience
- Academic assistance and goal-setting to promote personal and educational success
- Life skills development through structured activities and positive role modeling
- Community involvement opportunities to encourage youth engagement and responsibility
