Helping Services for Youth & Families is a private, nonprofit organization offering services of substance abuse prevention, family education, domestic violence, and youth mentoring. Our services are based on local needs and local ideas. Helping Services for Youth & Families provides children, teens, and adults with the skills and knowledge to bring about positive change in their own lives and in their communities.

Our Youth Mentoring program is offered in Allamakee, Clayton, Delaware, Southern Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek Counties.

The organization offers a variety of services aimed at strengthening family units and promoting the well-being of young individuals. These services include counseling and therapy for children and parents, parenting education programs, and support groups designed to address specific challenges faced by families. Additionally, they provide resources and referrals to community services, assist with crisis intervention, and offer workshops focused on building skills such as communication, conflict resolution, and financial literacy. Through these comprehensive programs, Family Services for Youth and Families strives to create a supportive environment where families can thrive together.

Our Mentoring program connects youth with caring adults who can help youth aspire achieve and develop to their fullest potential. Mentoring matches build friendships and develop healthy relationships. Mentors become a role model that make a difference in the life of a youth in their area.
