When home is no longer safe and a child must enter foster care, a judge may appoint a CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocate, a volunteer focused on that child, to guide them to a safe and permanent home. If you have been thinking about how you can make a difference in the life of an abused and neglected child, now is as good time as any because we are gearing up for our local training here in Council Bluffs this spring.
To get registered on time for our local CASA Pre-Service training in April, applications need to be submitted to the office or online by Wednesday, March 20, 2019 to anne.christensen@dia.iowa.gov or go to our website for more information and to fill out an application online - www.childadvocacy.iowa.gov.
