Impact of the Role

CASA volunteers help ensure that children in foster care receive the services, stability, and support they need. Judges rely on CASA recommendations to make informed decisions about a child’s safety, permanency, and overall well‑being. Volunteers often become the one consistent adult presence in a child’s life during a difficult and uncertain time.

The RSVP MakerSpace Classroom Volunteer will provide hands-on project assistance and companionship to elementary students in grades K-8.

Program description: At our school, MakerSpace takes on a unique and meaningful approach. Rather than following the traditional model, our K–8 students come together in multi-age groups to explore hands-on spaces that inspire lifelong hobbies, trades, and passions. Our goal is to cultivate a love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom and lasts a lifetime.

Duties:

●      Interact with students in grades K-8 and be a welcoming adult face

●      Provide help with MakerSpace projects as needed.
