To know you are helping someone and comforting them makes me feel very happy to be a volunteer. The best part of being a volunteer is being there for someone who might not have anyone, and letting them know they are not alone. The connections I have made through volunteering are some that I will cherish and be thankful for." - Lindsey

Agency: Care Initiatives Hospice - Greenfield

Care Initiatives Hospice is looking for caring, compassionate people in the Greenfield area to become hospice volunteers. Provide care and support to patients and families to help ensure quality of life at the end of life.  Our volunteers determine their own schedule and can help by holding a hand, listening to memories and life stories, sharing special talents, give a hug, touch a heart.  There are countless ways to help and change a life!

From our Greenfield office, we coordinate care for patients in 17 counties in Southwest Iowa - from Leon to Avoca. As a volunteer, we will place you with patients in your area.

Volunteers are also needed to provide office support at our office located in Greenfield. General duties include filing, sorting, and making informational packets.
