Volunteer Engagement Training Modules

These online modules are adapted, with permission, from Betty Stallings 55-Minute Training Series: Training Busy Staff to Succeed with Volunteers. They are designed to complement Volunteer Iowa s Volunteer Engagement Training Modules.

Each module provides:

  • A short, interactive session on a key volunteer management topic.
  • Supporting materials to guide discussion and skill-building with staff and volunteer leaders.

Research from Reimagining Service shows that organizations that effectively engage volunteers are more adaptable, sustainable, and able to scale. Training staff to work successfully with volunteers is essential to achieving this.

Modules can be used as:

  • Standalone professional development for individual staff.
  • Group learning combined with facilitated activities.
