Who We Are

Mission: To educate, lead and empower Hispanic/Latino individuals and families to live thriving, self-sufficient and healthy lives.

Centro Latino of Council Bluffs was established in 2001 through collaboration between local United Methodist Churches, community agencies, and volunteers to address the needs of the growing Latino population, particularly Spanish speakers. Starting with an office inside a health clinic, the organization expanded its services and physical space, moving to dedicated offices by 2014. In 2015, under new leadership and with key foundation support, Centro Latino began its transformation into a professional nonprofit, focusing on sustainable operations, governance, and impactful service for the Latino community.
