HIRTA Helps is a community-driven initiative by the Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA) that provides transportation and supportive services to individuals in need across Central Iowa. The program is designed to offer essential assistance to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income residents who face transportation barriers. Through HIRTA Helps, the organization offers free or low-cost rides for medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential errands, ensuring community members can access necessary resources and services. By addressing transportation challenges, HIRTA Helps promotes independence and improves the quality of life for vulnerable populations in the region.
