Who We Are
Mission: To provide a safe and encouraging environment where local positive adult role models inspire kids facing various adversities.
The One on One Mentoring Program in the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura (GHV) community is dedicated to fostering meaningful, supportive relationships between young people and caring adult mentors. This program connects students with trusted role models who provide guidance, encouragement, and stability, helping them navigate challenges and personal development. By building these one-on-one relationships, the mentoring program aims to boost students’ confidence, promote positive behaviors, and enhance social skills. Through consistent mentorship, the One on One Mentoring Program GHV plays a crucial role in supporting the emotional well-being of students, encouraging their growth and success.
What We Do
The One on One Mentoring Program GHV offers individualized mentoring services that match students with dedicated adult mentors who provide guidance and support. The program centers on matches meeting together about once a week where they can focus on fun activities they both enjoy. As the relationship develops over time, youth can learn important social and emotional skills, build self-esteem, and feel supported by another caring adult.
