Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa

Who We Are

Mission: To be a refuge for lost and unwanted cats and dogs, educating the community about responsible pet ownership, and promoting respect and compassion for all living beings.

Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming animals in need throughout the region. The organization focuses on providing shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation to abandoned and surrendered animals, with an emphasis on responsible pet ownership and community education. Through adoption programs, the organization works to match pets with loving, permanent homes while advocating for animal welfare. Almost Home also collaborates with other rescues, shelters, and volunteers to ensure the well-being of animals, and works tirelessly to reduce overpopulation through spay/neuter initiatives.
