The RSVP Community Garden Volunteer: Are you ready to show off your GREEN THUMB? Volunteers aged 55 or better are needed to help maintain the SWITCH community garden. We need your advice on our garden bed and your help to make it grow!.
Duties:
● Maintain the garden and flowers by weeding, deadheading and watering.
● Harvest produce.
● Assist in planning and planting.
● Work cooperatively with the SWITCH Director.
● Work with Nishna Production clients & staff in the garden.
● Weed eating and seasonal leaf removal.
Skills required:
● Must be 55 years of age or older.
● Successfully pass a background check.
● Relate well to staff.
● Love of gardening/Green Thumb.
Supervisor: Volunteers will be supervised by the SWITCH Director.
Amount of Time: 5 hours weekly or as needed during Spring through Fall. Hours can be broken down into multiple days and altering shift length.
Time of Day: Between 8-4:30, Monday – Friday during Spring through Fall. Volunteers may set their own schedule.
